Dungeon Guide: Sigil Adstringo 45-48

Dungeon Guide Label - Sigil Adstringo

Sigil Adstringo is the next dungeon in line that you will encounter in TERA. It’s suitable for players to level range 45-48.

Overview

This dungeon introduces some new boss encounter mechanics compared to the previous instances and the first 2 dragon bosses as well.

Boss 1 Encounter: Evignar

This first boss encounter are pretty similar to Soulcrusher from Bastion of Lok. Evignar looks exactly the same as Soulcrusher and most of his attacks are identical to the first boss of Bastion of Lok. During the fight Evignar will randomly spawn some adds to aid him. They don’t have high HPs and their damage is minimal. Basically, they don’t be a considerable threat to the group but it’s recommended to get them out of sight as soon as the spawn to keep your battleground more clear. The most important point of this fight is Evignar’s typhoon ability. Randomly he will be de-materialized in stone pieces creating a typhoon at his spot and damage over time anyone who stand on it. In addition, after he become one piece again, he will put 3 red circles on the ground which will deliver high damage to anyone who is located inside the circles. This chain ability can be easily dodged if your group reacts fast enough once they see the typhoon animation. Other than this, it’s a straight forward encounter.

Abilities

  • Normal Attack: It does normal damage and is slow, it can be dodged / blocked easy.
  • Summon Adds: Randomly he will spawn some adds to aid him. They are weak and can be killed very easy.
  • Combo Attack: A powerful attack of 2 hits chain. It delivers high damage but can be blocked / dodged easy.
  • Jump Attack: It does moderate damage and jumps to a random location.
  • Typhoon: Randomly he will de-materialized into stone pieces and hit anyone who stands on his spot. After he becomes one piece again, he will cast 3 red circles on the ground which will deliver high damage to anyone who is located inside them.

Boss 2 Encounter: Harkyriss

This is the first dragon that you will encounter in TERA. The fight is considerably easy but has some points you have to be aware off. First of all his main attack is a ground target aoe. He flies on the air and put 3 circles in a line in front of him. Everyone who stands inside those circles takes fire damage over time. Of course you can understand that this attack is easily avoidable. Just stay away from those circles and you will be safe. The other point is his adds. In some point he will summon some adds around him, don’t panic, they are stationed mobs. Simply, avoid the red circles which they cast in front of them and you will be fine. Apart from those 2 points, Harkyriss has the classic cleave and jump moves but there isn’t anything special about them to be considered as dangerous abilities.

Abilities

  • Normal Attack: It does normal damage and is slow, it can be dodged / blocked easy.
  • Summon Adds: In some point, he will summon adds to help him. They are stationary mobs which means you can avoid them easy and can be fully ignored.
  • Dragon’s Breath: He breaths out in 180 degrees in front of him and set flames on the ground. DPS should be positioned themselves behind him in most of the encounter.
  • Dragon’s Spit: Randomly, he will fly on the air and spit 3 times on the ground in front of him, casting 3 circles. You should move out fast of those circles because they damage over time anyone who stands inside them.
  • Cleave: It does moderate damage to everyone 180 degrees in front of him.
  • Charge: He moves on a direct line in front of him, damaging anyone who stands on his way.

Boss 3 Encounter: Great Chief Tungkan & Nuroppy

This is the first duo boss encounter you will face in TERA. The fight is a bit more interesting from the previous and also can lead to a fail if you try this encounter for first time without reading any tips or guides. First you have to focus to kill Nuroppy. He cast a poisonous ball to a single target which puts a DoT on him and can’t be dispelled. Also he has some adds with him, they are weak but they are also annoying. As soon as Nuroppy is dead you have to deal with Tungkan. In this part of the fight you have to consider 2 points. First the  Eg’thul Nalus, which is a hudge mushroom that heals Tungkan and for this reason it needs to be taken out asap. And second minor point is the adds that Tungkan will spawn periodically. Although the adds aren’t any serious threat to the group is recommended to take them out and then switch back to the boss.

Abilites

Nuroppy

  • Normal Attack: It does normal damage and is slow, it can be dodged / blocked easy.
  • Poisonous Ball: It does damage over time to a single target and can’t be dispelled.

Great Chief Tungkan

  • Normal Attack: It does normal damage and is slow, it can be dodged / blocked easy.
  • Summons Minions: He summons 2 adds to aid him. It is recommended to kill them first and switch back to boss later.
  • Summon Eg’thul Nalus: He summons a big mushroom which heals him. This should be your primary target whenever is up.
  • Static Jump: Randomly he jumps at his spot causing aoe moderate damage to everyone who stands near to him.

Boss 4 Encounter: Skulregnath

This is the final boss of the instance and is the second dragon you will face. Skulregnath in comparison to Harkyriss flies less and stick more to the ground which makes the fight less dizzy.

Points of Interest

  • Static Electrical Field: This is his powerfull attack and must be avoided immediately. It could easily kill anyone in a few second if he isn’t cautious about it. Basically  Skulregnath cast an electrical field on his spot stunning anyone inside for a few seconds and also causing high damage over time. The healer needs to use dispel in case someone is caught to the field.
  • Draelkar Pylon: You will receive a message on your screen when the pylon is on. At this point, except of the pylon, stationary adds will spawn as well and will start to cast red circles everywhere on the room. You need to destroy the pylon fast to make the adds disappear.

Abilities

  • Normal Attack: It does normal damage and is slow, it can be dodged / blocked easy.
  • Static Electrical Field: An aoe attack, it does high damage over time to everyone who stands on it and also stun them.
  • Cleave: It does moderate damage to everyone 180 degrees in front of him.
  • Dragon’s Breath: He breaths out in 180 degrees in front of him and set flames on the ground.

This is the end of Sigil Adstringo.

  1. How do i get to the dungeon? And where to i get the quests to it?
Btw you should always include that info ;) Nice guide otherwise…

    • Entrance is just straight north of the temple of Dagon. Haven’t found any quests to it yet.
